Hello, I’m Cathy

Being a realtor is about more than transactions

Real estate — buying, selling, evaluating, restoring — has been a part of my life and family for years. I love everything about it: the way it shapes communities and family life; the nuances of architecture and land use; environmental impacts and area growth; long-term value and negotiation.

But most of all, I love being able to use my varied interests and experiences to help clients achieve their piece of the American dream.

My clients quickly learn that I’m committed to their long-term happiness – and YOU can expect I’ll search high and low for the property that will check all your boxes AND dig up any drawbacks so you can make a well-informed decision.

Truly local knowledge

I’m passionate about this area, about its history and its future. And especially about helping people settle down in the place that realizes their lifestyle dreams – whether that’s the walkable charm of Carrboro and Chapel Hill, a rural retreat in Chatham county, or an urban oasis in Durham.

My family’s roots run deep in the area – after all, we’re how Carrboro, years back, got its name!

Communication Excellence

Much of my career, prior to becoming a real estate professional, was in communications: writing and editing publications, and even a professor of communications at [univ] for [x] years.

What does that mean for you? It means I value and practice the important skills that can make all the difference in creating a stress-free experience!  Listening deeply for what’s said and what may be hidden between the lines; clarifying all parties understand and are on the same page; being an advocate who will be honest with you – and who you can safely be honest with too.

Having bought and sold many homes myself, I know the difference it can make to have a partner who goes above and beyond, and am proud to consistently hear my clients feel they have that in me.

It would be my pleasure to be your guide, advocate, and location expert as you begin your next residential transition, or acquisition!
